You’re Not New to This, If you’ve landed here, you’ve probably asked for help before. Functional Medicine Approach That Lasts, You’ve done the blood tests, taken the supplements, and followed the advice — and still, something’s not right. Maybe you’re exhausted and can’t sleep. Maybe your periods have changed, and no one’s taken the time to ask when it all started. Or maybe you’ve just had this gut feeling: there’s more going on here. And you’re right.
Why I Do This Work
This work comes from lived experience. I’ve had hormonal issues since I was a teenager — acne that wouldn’t go away, weight that went up and down without much reason, moods that didn’t feel like mine. Back then, I was offered the pill or told it was just part of being a teen. No one asked why I have symptoms, what is causing them.
After I had my son, everything shifted again. My sleep became broken and shallow, and I experienced anxiety I’d never had before. My periods became heavy, and I felt like I was slowly falling apart. Looking back now, I can see it was likely low progesterone and nutrient depletion — but I didn’t know that at the time. What I did know was that I had absolutely no energy, felt often dizzy, and suffered from ”strange” headaches.
Eventually, I found out my iron was incredibly low. I’d lost a lot of blood during childbirth, and although I was briefly put on iron, no one ever followed up. It was all there in my records — unexplained fatigue, dizziness, low iron — but no one joined the dots. No one said, “Let’s look at this again.” I was told I suffer from migraines, and its normal, it will go away one day.
Try the pill. Rest more. None of it helped. And it felt like no one was really listening. That’s what led me to study nutritional therapy and functional medicine. I needed better answers — first for myself, and now for the women who, like me, were doing all the right things but still not feeling well.
My Clinical Training and Real-Life Practice
I studied Nutritional Therapy at the College of Naturopathic Medicine, where I earned a distinction. Throughout the course, we observed consultations with experienced practitioners and gradually began working with our own clients. By the final stage of training, I was holding consultations and follow-ups with five or six clients — real people with real issues — and had to pass these cases before graduating. That’s where my practice truly started.
After qualifying, I continued my education with advanced training in Functional Endocrinology and functional medicine through the Kharrazian Institute. At one point, I was studying two demanding courses at the same time — and I loved it. It wasn’t always easy, but it gave me the depth and clarity I was looking for.
While studying, I also explored functional testing on myself and my family. I ran DUTCH tests, GI MAPs, blood panels — not just to learn, but to truly understand. By the time I qualified, I felt confident using these tools in practice and already had experience translating results into real-world solutions.
I also continue to study and deepen my knowledge regularly. I attend professional webinars, take part in CPD trainings, and join conferences to stay up to date with research and clinical developments. I genuinely enjoy learning — and I believe that brain and adrenal health, including focus, memory, and cognition, become even more important as we get older. I know how to support those things, and I want you to feel that clarity and energy too.
My Approach
This isn’t about chasing a diagnosis or giving you a protocol with 12 supplements and a “good luck” and fingers crossed something is going to work. Functional medicine, for me, is about slowing down enough to see the whole picture. Your hormones, your gut, your nervous system, your blood sugar, your liver — they’re not separate. They’re in constant conversation. And your symptoms? They’re not random.
They’re messages. We just need to learn how to listen. I want to know the things most people skip over. When did your symptoms really begin? What medications are you on? What’s your stress been like over the years? What were your periods like at 15, 25, and now? Your timeline matters. It tells a story that blood tests alone can’t.
Yes, I use advanced tests — DUTCH test, blood chemistry, GI MAP — but I don’t treat numbers in isolation. My job is to connect the dots and translate your results into something that makes sense to you, not just in theory, but in day-to-day life.
Who I Work With
The women I work with are smart. They’ve done the research, tried the protocols, maybe even worked with other practitioners. But deep down, they know they haven’t been fully seen or understood. You might be:
- Waking up wired at 3am and struggling through the day
- Dealing with heavy or painful periods
- Feeling like a stranger in your own body
- Holding it together on the outside while feeling exhausted on the inside
This is the point where you don’t have to push through anymore. We pause. We zoom out. And we get clear.
What I Believe
- You’re not broken. Your symptoms are your body trying to adapt.
- There is always a reason — and you deserve to know what it is.
- Healing doesn’t happen in a rush. It happens when the right support is in place.
- You deserve more than another rushed appointment or another prescription.
- This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about reconnecting with your body, your rhythm, and your strength.
What Working with Me Looks Like
We start with your story. Then we bring in the right tools — smart testing, food, targeted supplements, nervous system support — but only when they’re actually useful, not just for the sake of doing more. Sometimes that means supporting your liver or your stress response first. Sometimes it means simplifying rather than adding more. This isn’t about throwing everything at the wall.
It’s about taking the next right step. If you’re a practitioner, I also support you with DUTCH hormone test interpretation — so you can feel more confident in understanding complex cases and giving better care without the overwhelm.
Ready to Begin?
If you’re ready to feel understood — not just managed — I’d love to work with you. Whether you’re struggling with your cycle, burnout, energy, or hormones, there’s a way forward that doesn’t involve guessing. Let’s find it together.
