  • Combines the DUTCH Cycle Mapping and DUTCH Complete tests — both run from the same dried urine samples.
  • Maps oestrogen and progesterone across the full menstrual cycle with nine targeted measurements, showing the follicular, ovulatory and luteal phases in detail.
  • Includes the full DUTCH Complete panel — 35 hormones including sex hormones, adrenal hormones, oestrogen metabolism pathways and organic acid markers.
  • For many women, a single-day snapshot is enough. But when cycles are irregular, symptoms shift throughout the month, or a full picture of ovulation and luteal function is needed, mapping across the whole cycle provides information a single-day test cannot.
  • Results include a graphical report showing hormone patterns across the cycle, with embedded video tutorials. Sample type: dried urine only, no saliva.
  • Not intended for women on hormonal birth control.
  • I recommend this test when symptoms vary significantly throughout the month, cycles are irregular, or when fertility, PCOS, luteal phase deficiency or unexplained cyclical symptoms are part of the clinical picture.
Kit contains

Multiple urine collection filter paper strips · requisition form · sealable return envelope. Number of strips depends on your cycle protocol.

If a single-day snapshot is sufficient, consider DUTCH Complete

The DUTCH Complete is collected at one point in the luteal phase and covers most women well. Cycle Mapping is for cases where the full monthly picture is clinically necessary.

Also need adrenal depth? Consider DUTCH Cycle Mapping + Plus

Adds the Cortisol Awakening Response (CAR) for a deeper assessment of HPA axis function alongside the full cycle map.

This test is collected across your full menstrual cycle — one sample each morning upon waking, starting on day 7 of your cycle. The collection schedule depends on your cycle length. Day 1 is the first day of menstrual flow, not spotting.

Standard or short cycle
34 days or fewer
  • Start collection on day 7
  • Collect one sample each morning upon waking
  • If you miss a day, collect the following day and continue
  • If your period begins during collection, collect one more sample the next day then move to Final Collection Day
Long cycle
More than 34 days
  • Start collection on day 7
  • Collect one sample each morning upon waking
  • If you miss a day, collect the following day and continue
  • If your period begins during collection, collect one more sample the next day then move to Final Collection Day
No cycle
Functional ovaries, no menstrual flow
  • Start any day
  • Collect samples every other day (days 1–31)
  • Skip day 32
  • Final four samples on day 33

★ Final Collection Day — day 4 of your new cycle

Four samples collected throughout one day: waking, +2 hours, dinner and bedtime. Captures the early follicular phase to complete the hormonal picture. If you have no cycle, collect these on day 33.

If you miss a collection day

Collect the missed sample the following day and continue as normal. You do not need to collect every sample within a single 24-hour period.

Track your symptoms during collection

During the collection period, note any symptoms each day — mood, energy, sleep, pain, bloating, headaches, anxiety or irritability. Mapping these against your hormone results makes interpretation significantly more informative.

Irregular or unpredictable cycles
PMDD or severe PMS
Symptoms that shift throughout the month
Fertility concerns
Suspected luteal phase deficiency
PCOS
Unexplained infertility
Mid-cycle spotting
Heavy or painful periods
Low progesterone
Oestrogen dominance symptoms
Mood changes linked to cycle phase
Wanting a complete picture across the whole cycle

I recommend this test when symptoms vary across the month and a single snapshot won’t give the full picture. It’s particularly useful for fertility investigations, suspected ovulation problems, or when the pattern of symptoms across the cycle is the key clinical question.

This test is not suitable for women on hormonal birth control. If you’re unsure whether this or the DUTCH Complete is the right test for you, get in touch and I’ll advise.

Collection begins on day 7 of your cycle, regardless of cycle length. Day 1 is the first day of full menstrual flow, not spotting. One sample is collected each morning upon waking on the specified days throughout your cycle. Not sure when to start or which schedule applies to you? Email me and I’ll advise.

The Final Collection Day is day 4 of your new cycle — the day after your next period begins. Four samples are collected on this day to capture the early follicular phase and complete the hormonal picture across two cycles. If you have no cycle, the final four samples are collected on day 33.

Collect the missed sample the following day and continue as normal. You do not need to collect every sample within a single 24-hour period. If your period begins during collection, collect one more sample the following day and then move to the Final Collection Day protocol.

No — this test is not intended for women on hormonal birth control. Hormonal contraception suppresses natural oestrogen and progesterone production, which would prevent the cycle mapping from reflecting your own hormonal picture. If you’re taking HRT rather than contraception, please get in touch before ordering so I can advise on timing.

Send samples back as soon as possible after completing the collection. If you cannot post immediately, place the dried samples in a plastic bag and freeze them. Do not delay posting for longer than necessary.

Written Interpretation (£95) — a detailed written interpretation based on your test results and submitted symptoms questionnaire. Includes personalised diet, supplement, and lifestyle recommendations. No consultation included.

Results Review Consultation (£175) — a 45-minute Zoom consultation to review your results, answer your questions, and discuss next steps. Includes written recommendations after the call.

Comprehensive Consultation (£275) — a 75-minute consultation including a full health history review, symptom assessment, and detailed interpretation of your results in context. Includes a personalised written protocol and recommendations.

The DUTCH Complete is collected at one point in the luteal phase and gives a comprehensive snapshot of your hormone levels, metabolism and adrenal function on that day. The Cycle Mapping + Complete bundle maps oestrogen and progesterone across your entire cycle — showing how they rise, peak and fall — alongside the full DUTCH Complete panel from the final collection day. It gives significantly more information about cycle dynamics, ovulation and luteal function, but requires more samples collected over several weeks.
