- For many women, a single-day snapshot is enough. But when cycles are irregular, symptoms shift throughout the month, or a full picture of ovulation and luteal function is needed, mapping across the whole cycle provides information a single-day test cannot.

The DUTCH Complete is collected at one point in the luteal phase and covers most women well. Cycle Mapping is for cases where the full monthly picture is clinically necessary.

This test is collected across your full menstrual cycle — one sample each morning upon waking, starting on day 7 of your cycle. The collection schedule depends on your cycle length. Day 1 is the first day of menstrual flow, not spotting.

Four samples collected throughout one day: waking, +2 hours, dinner and bedtime. Captures the early follicular phase to complete the hormonal picture. If you have no cycle, collect these on day 33.
Collect the missed sample the following day and continue as normal. You do not need to collect every sample within a single 24-hour period.

I recommend this test when symptoms vary across the month and a single snapshot won’t give the full picture. It’s particularly useful for fertility investigations, suspected ovulation problems, or when the pattern of symptoms across the cycle is the key clinical question.
